Tamil youth held protest at ODI between Sri Lankan and England

Yesterday was a whole day protest against Sri Lanka Cricket team outside Lord’s cricket ground as Sri Lanka played England in the third one-day-International (ODI) match. It was noisy but peaceful protest that was participated by hundreds of Tamil youth activist and supporters. This is one of the several protest organised against Sri Lanka’s matches to raise awareness of Sri Lanka’s war crimes.

Sri Lanka government is still denying the war crimes committed against innocent civilians in the final fights in 2009. They are turning a blind eye to all the evidence and witnesses in the UN report by independent panel.

Sri Lanka cricket team is set to play their fifth ODI Cricket against England this Saturday, the 9th July in Old Trafford, Manchester. We cannot allow them to get away with their ruthless murder. Tamil Solidarity is holding a protest in Lancashire Country Cricket between 9 to 11 am. Come to the protest and remind the Sri Lanka Government that their brutal massacres will not be forgotten.
