Come to the protest on Saturday – in solidarity with Kobane

For over 20 days Kurdish people are showing a heroic struggle in Kobani, a strategically important town in Rojava, against the religious sectarian ISIS gangs which have besieged the city from three different points. In some neighbourhoods within Kobani people are stranded and the Kurdish people are now on the verge of being massacred while the world watches.

At the same time In Turkey those who sympathise with ISIS are trying to incite the people who have come out in support of Kobani. The police are attacking people who have come out on the streets for Kobani, turning a blind eye to the murderers and encouraging a massacre within Turkey’s borders. The Turkish government and those who support ISIS have attacked rallies in support of Kobani within the region, injured dozens of people wounded and arrested and resulted in the deaths of 27 people.

Today in an emergency meeting Europe wide Turkish and Kurdish organisations have declared Saturday, 11th October 2014 as a day of action to show solidarity for people of Kobane and people of Turkey. Killing and massacring of people on both side of the border is affecting all humanity, especialy those who are in the side of peace, justice and freedom.
